Klaus Dodds is a leading expert in geopolitics and human geography, specialising in the polar regions, border issues, and global security.
Klaus Dodds is a Professor of Geopolitics and Faculty Dean at Middlesex University, London and Hon Fellow of the Royal Navy and British Antarctic Survey.
Beyond the academy, he served as a specialist adviser to several UK parliamentary select committees, including the House of Lords Select Committee on the Arctic and the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee. He has worked with NATO’s Strategic Foresight Analysis group, advising on future geopolitical trends. He has worked for many years with the MOD and FCDO on polar geopolitics and regularly advises on current and future strategic dynamics.
Klaus’s focus is on investigating and explaining how geopolitical and resource competition will shape the present and future.
